Civil Code: Civil Liabilities

Article 179 Claims for civil liability mainly include:
(1) cease and desist;
(2) removal of the obstruction;
(3) elimination of hazards;
(4) restitution of property;
(5) restitutio in integrum;
(6) repair, reworking, or replacement;
(7) continued performance;
(8) compensation for losses;
(9) payment of liquidated damages;
(10) elimination of adverse influence and rehabilitation of reputation; and/or
(11) apologizing.
Where laws have provisions on punitive damages, such provisions shall prevail.
The civil liabilities set forth above in this Article 179 may be applied separately or in combination.
