Civil Code: Civil Liabilities - 3

Article 183 In case of damage or loss incurred in defending the civil rights or interests of any other person, the tortfeasor shall be held civilly liable and the beneficiary may be obligated to provide the damaged party with appropriate compensation. Provided, however, that the beneficiary shall provide appropriate compensation as claimed by the damaged party if there is not any tortfeasor, or the tortfeasor is on the run or unable to assume civil liability.
Article 184 A rescuer shall not be held civilly liable for the damage to or loss of the rescuee due to voluntary rescue in an emergency.
Article 185 In case of a tort of the name, likeness, reputation, or honor of a hero, martyr, or damage to or loss of social or public interests, the tortfeasor shall be held civilly liable.
Article 186 In case of damage to or loss of the personal or property rights or interests of any other person due to the tortfeasor's breach of contract, the damaged party may hold the tortfeasor liable for breach or tort.
Article 187 Where civil and administrative and/or criminal liabilities shall be imposed on any person for the same act, the administrative and/or criminal liabilities shall be without prejudice to the civil liability, and priority shall be given to civil liability if the property of such person is insufficient for both or all of the liabilities.
