Civil Code: Validity of Contracts

Chapter III Validity of Contracts
Article 505 The validity of a contract entered into by any party beyond its scope of business shall be determined in accordance with the applicable provisions of Section 3 of Chapter VI under TITLE ONE of this Code and the applicable provisions under this TITLE THREE, and the contract shall not be held invalid solely on the grounds that it is beyond the scope of business.
Article 506 An exemption clause in a contract shall be invalid if it exempts either party's liability for:
(1) any personal injury to the other party; or
(2) any property loss of the other party due to the first party's intention or gross negligence.
Article 507 The unenforceability, invalidity, cancellation, or termination of a contract shall be without prejudice to the validity of its terms on dispute resolution.
Article 508 The validity of any contract not covered under this TITLE THREE shall be governed by Chapter VI under TITLE ONE of this Code.
