China’s Accounting Law: Legal Liabilities Stipulated in Other Accounting Regulations (II) Legal liabilities stipulated in the Regulations on Chief Accountants
 (2) Where a chief administrative officer of an entity obstructs the chief accountant from exercising their functions and powers, or retaliates against them or retaliates in disguised form, the superior supervisory department shall impose administrative penalties depending on the severity of the violation. If the violation is so severe that it constitutes a crime, criminal liability shall be incurred in accordance with the law.
