Content of an Arbitration Award

An award should contain the following:
  1. the personal information of the claimant and the respondent;
  2. the claim and relief sought by the claimant;
  3. the counterclaim and relief sought by the respondent, if any;
  4. the ascertained facts and admitted evidence as the basis for rendering the award;
  5. the result of the arbitration;
  6. the allocation of the arbitration fees and other costs;
  7. the time period for the claimant and/or respondent to perform the obligations under the award;
  8. the liabilities for failure to perform the award within the specified time period;
  9. the date and place of the award; and
  10. other necessary information.
The facts, evidence, and grounds as the basis of the award may be omitted from the award if:
  1. the claimant and the respondent so agree; or
  2. the award is based on the settlement agreement reached between the claimant and the respondent.
