Interim or Partial Award in International Arbitration

Interim or Partial Award in International Arbitration

An interim award or a partial award may be rendered, where necessary, during the arbitration proceedings if the arbitral tribunal believes that certain facts have been established beyond any doubt.

An interim award or a partial award may be rendered on the own initiative of the arbitral tribunal or at the request of the disputing parties.

As a final award, an interim award or a partial award is also final and binding upon both disputing parties. The disputing parties shall comply with such an award, and either party’s failure to do so will not affect the arbitration proceedings or the rendering of a final award.
